St. Patrick’s Day
Slainte!
St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone and by now the sore heads will have gone too š Ā Statistics say that in the U. S. some 5.5m pints of Guinness are consumed daily. On St. Paddy’s day that jumps up to over 15 million! So when we were taking down the party tents on March 18th, early in the morning, many were getting up with hangovers after the festivities from the night before.
This St. Paddy’s Day tents this year followed a pattern; all needed a big tent, a stage for live music (Irish music, of course), the area around the tents and beer service areas had to be fenced in, illumination and protective sidewall behind the stage, lots of tables and chairs as well. We were involved with a numberĀ of these tents, one of which was for a private party and the others at prominent pubs from Venice to Parrish.
Wedding Tents too!
In addition to this we installed 3 wedding tents all in the same time period. With the extremely heavy rain that we had over the weekend, the tents and sidewall saved their outdoor weddings. Could you imagine organizing a beautiful wedding in a romantic setting without a tentĀ and when all is prepared, along comes a thunderstorm with torrential rain? Disaster!!
It was a logistically demanding exercise and all were installed within the timeframe allotted, some even ahead of schedule. In some cases, while we were installing the tents we were told by the rector that they needed a number of extra accessories or more tables, chairs and indeed fencing. Notwithstanding the extremely tight schedules we were able to accommodate their requests. The next morning we received numerous compliments for the service provided and we were told that next year we will have to install even bigger tents because their events were such a success.
So, as the Irish would say…… Slainte! Ā Ā (Good health)
As if that wasn’t enough, we had a specialized tent installation to do for the annual Sarasota Fair. a 60′ x 90′ Clearspan tent! Isn’t she a beauty?
